The dance of Banat is present in two of its variants. One is that from the mountains which throughout its lively rhythms and turmoil created by the continuous turns of the girls under the arms of the boys, throughout the vigour of the man movements shows the vivid temperament of the inhabitants from the mountain area. |

The other variant of the dance of Banat belongs to the plain area, characterized by a larger display in space with slowlier movements is the so called “SOROCUL” one of the most pretentious Romanian popular dances from the execution point of view. The movements of this dance are very complicated and its most important elements are combined in many different ways.
